MUSA A. RUBIN  - Certified Management Accountant, MBA Accounting and International Finance, Chicago-Graduate School of Business

Musa Rubin is a management consultant, focusing on use of IT to solve business and organisational problems, and improve productivity. He designs and installs standard cost, inventory control, production planning and control, data collection, and forecasting systems. He is a top-level management consultant in the textile industry, and has wide international experience in USA, Kenya, Sudan, Mexico and Far East.

KIM LEUNG - Bsc.  Hotel Management and Tourism.

Ms Kim Leung left PriceWaterhouseCoopers in December 1998, where she was Managing Consultant in Human Resources Development, hotel management and tourism and joined People Focus, the sister company of StraConsult. Kim Leung single-handedly set up the training program and a train the trainers academy for the Sun Resorts group of five hotels in Mauritius. She has also been lecturer in Hotel Management at the University of Mauritius.  She has also performed a number of Human Resource Management assignments such as Human Resource Audit, Staffing Level, Job descriptions, Salary structures and staff rules and regulations for various companies in Mauritius.

GILLES JOOMUN - Bsc. Hons Social Studies, Diploma Course in Analysis and Planning of Investment Projects, Institute of Development Management/University of Oslo.

Gilles Joomun is experienced as a socio-economic researcher who has participated in various projects such as the first assessment of the state of Good Governance in Mauritius and the Survey on Corruption. He has experience in administering projects but also in report writing. Gilles Joomun has participated in a workshop on the "Progress of APRM in East and Southern Africa) organized by DPMF and EISA in Nairobi in 2005.  He has also participated in an international conference organized by UNECA to launch the second phase of the Africa Governance Report in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

ROSIANE Gebert - B.Sc. (Hons) Management, University of Mauritius

Miss Gebert has graduated in the field of Management and has worked on various surveys for StraConsult. She has worked as Research Assistant at the University of Mauritius.  She has experience in the running of quantitative and qualitative surveys.  She is conversant with statistical analysis software such as SPSS.  Miss Gebert has also been involved in the media. 

Dr. Dinesh Moonshiram - LL. B (Hons) London M.A (Cantab), Ph. D (York), CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) Canada, CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) Canada & U.S

Dr. Moonshiram is an expert in Human Resource Development and General Management. He has accumulated over 25 years’ experience and has served as Human Resource Manager/Consultant for leading enterprises such as the British American Tobacco (Mtius) PLC, One and Only Touessrok Hotel, Air Mauritius, Financial Services Commission, Mauritius Posts Ltd and Bell Canada, Telecom Informatics and Datapro MacGraw-Hill in Canada. He has also served as HR consultant for various companies and institutions such as the University of Mauritius, and the State Property Development Company Ltd.  Dr. Moonshiram has also been a consultant in Canada for companies such as and Insight Information Services and IBM and Digital Equipment of Canada. He has also undertaken Job Evaluation exercises and salary reviews at Mauritius Post Ltd and the State Property Development Company and restructuring and HR assignments at FSC.

Dhananjaye Chintaram - BA (Hons) Economics Delhi University, India, MSc Development Economics with specialisation in Project Planning Bradford University, UK

Mr. Chintaram, an economist by training and profession. He is fully conversant with fiscal and monetary matters having worked at the Budget Bureau of the Ministry of Finance from 1985 to 1990. He is also well versed with public sector projects having been involved in the preparation of the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) and the National Development Plan from 1990 to 1997. He has also been involved in the preparation of the Long Term Perspective Study – Vision 2020. Mr. Chintaram has been closely involved with the EU as he was also responsible for micro-projects in both Mauritius and Rodrigues from 1992 to 1997. In this capacity he has been a resource person to various NGO’s workshops relating to micro-projects.

NISHNA RAMBOCUS-SOOBARAH - Bsoc.sci, Government and Public Policy & Human Resource Management, University of Cape Town, South Africa

As Business and Human Resource consultant, she has carried out organisation change project using the techniques of Business Process Reengineering (BPR).  Nishna has also carried out a complete review of business operations for a major textile company, focusing on product development, marketing, customer service departments, operations and human resources. She has also reviewed, developed and implemented: recruitment policies and strategies, job evaluation, performance appraisal and promotion systems.  She contributed to the preparation of a Corporate Plan for the Mauritius Ports Authority and a Strategic Plan for Cargo Handling Corporation Ltd.

RAMPRAKASH MAUNTHROOA

Mr. Prakash Maunthrooa retired in October 2003 as Chairman of the Mauritius Ports Authority after more than twenty years career in the port. He had previously held the post of Director General of this same organisation. He has also been member of the Board of Directors of the Cargo Handling Corporation, and has been the lead person in the preparation of the Port Master Plan, and conducted the port modernisation implementation at the infrastructural, institutional, legal, and human resources levels.

ROUKAYA KASENALLY (Miss) - BA (Hons) English Language, English and European Literature, University of Essex, MA in Communication Policy, City University, London, PhD, University Of Sheffield

Miss Roukaya Kasenally is a communication expert. She is a lecturer in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Mauritius.  She has presented papers concerning communication and media issues in various conferences. She has launch the "Let's Use the Internet Programme" to help democratise the use of internet especially among the young.

AHMUD YOUSUF MAUDARBOCUS - BSc Honours Physics, Imperial College of Science & Technology, University of London, MSc Applied Optics, Imperial College, University of London, PhD Physics.

Mr. Maudarbocus is a highly qualified physicist with broad experience in project management. As Regional Programme Manager for Africa with the Department of Technical Cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, Austria, Mr. Maudarbocus evaluated, designed and formulated technical cooperation projects for African member states. He managed several projects in the fields of human health (radiotherapy, nuclear medecine, radiation protection), food and agriculture (pest eradication, food preservation, crop improvement, animal disease monitoring), water resources management (especially ground water assessment), pollution monitoring (mainly the marine environment) and industrialization (non-destructive testing and tracer techniques, strengthening of materials through irradiation He also led multi-disciplinary team missions and conducted Programming and Project Monitoring Missions in various African member states.

PRISCILLA BALGOBIN-BHOYRUL - LLB (Hons), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Bar Vocational Course, Higher Diploma in Law Inns of Court School of Law, London City University, Member of the Middle Temple

Ms. Priscilla Balgobin is a barrister who has experience in the business environment.  She has worked as consultant is an offshore management company where her main responsibilities were to give advice on international tax planning, offshore fund structuring and company formation and administration.
